*Buzzes indignantly* They named WHAT after me?!

Okay, listen up humans. I'm a dragonfly—you know, the iridescent aerial acrobat who's been perfecting the art of flight for over 300 million years? I can fly backwards, hover in place, and catch prey mid-air with 95% success rate. I'm basically the fighter jet of the insect world.

And apparently, some British engineers at DMM looked at me and thought, "You know what? Let's make climbing protection inspired by this magnificent creature." I'll admit, I'm... actually kind of flattered? These DMM Dragonfly Cams are pretty impressive, even by my standards.

What I've Observed About My Metal Namesakes

  • They're incredibly lightweight – Just like me! I weigh practically nothing, and these cams are some of the lightest on the market. The engineers understood the assignment.
  • They have a wide range – My wings can adjust to different flight conditions, and these cams have an impressive expansion range to fit various crack sizes
  • They're agile and compact – I can maneuver through tight spaces, and these cams have a narrow head width that fits where bulkier cams can't
  • They come in color-coded sizes – Okay, I'm naturally iridescent, so I appreciate the aesthetic. Makes them easy to identify on a rack.
  • They're strong despite being light – I can carry prey twice my body weight, and these cams hold falls despite their minimal weight
  • They have a flexible stem – Allows them to work in horizontal and flaring placements, kind of like how I adjust my body in flight
  • DMM British engineering – Precision manufacturing that would make even my compound eyes impressed

So if you're a climber tackling trad routes, alpine objectives, or anywhere weight matters, these DMM Dragonfly Cams are what you need. They're light enough to carry a full set without fatigue, versatile enough for various placements, and strong enough to catch falls. Just remember—while these cams are excellent, they can't actually fly. That's still my department. You're welcome for the inspiration, DMM. *Flies away doing a victory loop*
